International Migration Institute (IMI)
The International Migration Institute (IMI) was established in 2006 as part of the James Martin 21st Century School at the University of Oxford and currently has around 12 full time research staff. IMI also forms part of the Oxford Department of International Development. IMI is committed to developing a long-term and comprehensive perspective on international migration processes seen as part of broader processes of global change and development. Working with researchers and policy-makers in the global South and North, IMI contributes to new theoretical and methodological approaches to migration research. IMI also contributes to the teaching of the MSc in Migration Studies along with colleagues at the Centre on Migration Policy and Society (COMPAS) and the Refugee Studies Centre (RSC).
