Work Package 7 concerns Triangulation and will be coordinated by COMPAS (UK). It will run from January to February 2012.
The objective of this work package is to build an element of triangulation into the project. The project’s interviewees’ perceptions on Human Rights and Democracy will be contrasted with the beliefs of embassies’ and migrant supporting organizations’ staff about their clients’ perceptions. This enables the triangulation of the view of different actors, i.e. European views versus potential migrants’ perceptions. Interviews are done in collaboration between the EU and non-EU partner.
COMPAS will prepare the triangulation activities in the four countries. In each country, the EU partner of the GDT conducts in-depth interviews on Human Rights and Democracy with the staff, and has those interviews transcribed. Subsequently, an accessible database compatible with the already existing qualitative databases will be constructed in each of the four countries.
The Report of the analysis of the interviews with embassies and migrant supporting organizations on the topic of Human Rights and Democracy will be posted on the project website in 2012.
