Work Package 11, Dissemination and publications, is coordinated by UA (Belgium). It runs throughout the entire duration of the project (March 2010 – January 2013).
The aim of this work package is to guarantee that all research findings are communicated to relevant target groups and a dialogue held with policy makers and civil society. To that end, a Communication Team will be established consisting of a representative of each partner and charged with the elaboration of a Program of Dissemination to be approved at the 2nd Management Team Meeting. This Dissemination Program will take into account issues such as the identification of target groups, communication partners and dissemination channels, including Open Access (see clause nr 39 of the Grant Agreement).
Dissemination activities include the distribution of policy briefs at regular intervals presenting key findings and their policy relevance to relevant stakeholders as well as submission of articles to policy oriented scientific journals and depositing articles in Open Access. In order to enhance scientific dissemination, papers will be submitted for publication to international journals and national journals, and project researchers will present research findings in international conferences. At the same time, research findings will also be disseminated to civil society organizations in source-countries. To top off the project, an international round-up conference will be held in Antwerp, where formal reporting of the research, the project findings summary and final policy ramifications will be presented.
Policy briefs will be published on the website bi-yearly from July 2011 onwards. A list of scientific articles deposited in Open Access and one of publications submitted in peer reviewed academic journals and deposited in Open Access will be published in 2013.
