María Hernández Carretero has a background in peace and conflict studies and anthropol-ogy. She has done fieldwork among prospec-tive migrants in Senegal, and migrant communities in Spain. Her research interests include the links between migration, risk theory and human security, as well as migrant transnationalism.
Within Eumagine María Hernández Carretero is a member of the Geographical Duo Team for Senegal and member of the General Assembly.
